Abstract

The shapes of the magnetic hysteresis loops recorded with a Kerr microscope at different points of the α-Fe/DyPrFeCoB microwire were analyzed. Depending on the distance from the ends of the microwire, where the demagnetization field makes a significant contribution to the magnetization, hysteresis loops of various forms were obtained. The micro-wire fragments that are most significant for practical use demonstrate a rectangular hysteresis loop with exchange bias, as well as a hysteresis loop with 4 equilibrium levels of magnetization like a spin-valve device. These data indicate a high practical potential of the obtained microwires for the manufacture of magnetic field, mechanical stress and temperature sensors from them.
