Abstract

The first part of the review considers the main types of preceramic organosilicon polymers and the types of their polymer derived ceramics formed during pyrolysis. An analysis of scientific-technical literature and patent sources of information on methods of synthesis, chemical modification, physico-chemical properties, main manufacturers and areas of application of organosilicon polymers is carried out. The main structural factors of preceramic polymers are described, which make it possible to vary the entire complex of physico-chemical properties of a ceramic material in a wide range.
