Abstract

A review of our own country and foreign papers in the field of high temperature metal matrix composite materials was conducted in this work. A classification of composite materials was considered. Main types of structures and characteristic properties were described. Matrix metals and alloys for obtaining high temperature composite materials were reviewed. Iron-and nickel-based composites and refractory metals and their compounds are considered in separate groups. Prospects for further research in the field of high-temperature composite materials were identified – for example, the use of composites in additive manufacturing.
