Abstract

A comparison of the VIAM method for testing х-ray films and ISO 11699-1:2008 showed the objectivity of the latter. The description of the sensitometric facility is given in this article. The calculation of the length of the combined Windows of the sensitometer disk is presented, which allows to obtain the dependence of the optical density on the logarithm of the radiation dose directly from the taken readings. The presented sensitometric characteristics obtained as a result of testing of radiographic films Agfa D4, Agfa D5, Agfa D7 are correspondingly adequate to the classes of film systems declared by the Agfa (Belgium) according to ISO 11699-1:2008. The characteristic curves of the tested films are created, which determine the fog, gradients at an optical density of 2 and 4 В, and the sensitivity of the films to radiation at an optical density of 2 В.
